Rohit Baxi Rohit’s journey in dance started when he lost his left leg at the age of 10 due to cancer. He grew up being called a handicap but by his sheer hard work and determination today he is the Founder and CEO of Satrangi School of Fusion. A school that wants to make a difference to the community and teach dance to kids of all ages. Rohit has been instrumental in creating a Broadway style dance drama called “Manmohini” that has run to packed houses for the past 8 years. Each year the show is sold out and is watched specifically for its creativity and unique approach to Dance. Rohit wants to create awareness for kids who have lost their limbs or kids that are so called “different” so that they can be presented globally.
Starting in 2001 out of a small basement in New Jersey, Satrangi expanded their operations nationwide towards teaching and inculcating respect for dance using various techniques. Unique style of amalgamating Indian dance forms with western styles in order to communicate with the multicultural crowd. Today they teach over 4000 students with well-established centers In New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Illinois and Vancouver.
